Nintendo DS Lite to Keep Me Company When I Fly |

I recently received a promotion at work, and it happens to be one that requires me to spend quite a bit of time traveling across country. Luckily, I don't have to drive but I admit that the cross country flying leaves something to be desired. I do often spend the time preparing paperwork and other things that need to be done, but once everything is done, I have quite a bit of empty time on my hands.
Last weekend, I noticed someone across the aisle from me was playing with a Nintendo DS lite. I hadn't really even given a video game console much thought, but I actually thought it could be the perfect solution to the time I spent in the air doing nothing, plus those late nights in the hotels that I find I can't sleep because I'm not in my own bed. When I got home from the trip, I mentioned to my husband that I thought it may be fun to have a Nintendo DS lite to play with when I was flying, or when I was in the hotel room wishing I was home. At first he laughed, because he knows I've never been a gaming type, so he thought me saying I wanted a Nintendo DS lite was actually a joke, when in reality it was far from. For several days that week I talked about the Nintendo DS lite, and I even went online to see what kind of games I could find for it. I realized that I could play many of my old favorites on the Nintendo DS lite, something else that made it more appealing to me.
This morning, I arrived home from yet another trip, only this time I found the Nintendo DS lite waiting for me. Apparently my darling husband took me at my word when I said that I thought it would be great to have a Nintendo DS lite to help pass the time, and he ordered me one from Bolluck Mall whose online store can be found by visiting www.bolluckmall.com along with several games. I thought it was truly one of the sweetest gestures he's done for me in a long time and I told him so. It was nice to come home to a clean house, breakfast waiting for me, and a Nintendo DS lite sitting on the counter just waiting for me to play. I'll learn how the video game console works over the next few days, before I have to take my next trip. Finally, something to keep me occupied when I fly. |
