Fighting for Supercross Hole Shot on Multiplayer Games |
| 1/28/2010 1:35:32 PM |
The goal of any race is to get the quickest out of the gate position. The hole shot in Supercross is key to victory. Anything less can mean being blasted behind the pack before getting stuffed into the corner and crashing out early. The fans are yelling, waving the number of their favorite racer. A group of twenty dirt bike riders, uniformed in sponsored gear grab the clutch and start making their engines scream as a beautiful moto girl comes out to signify the countdown. 3,2,1 clutch is dropped and all twenty bikes explode from behind the gate on the way to the first birm leading into a 40 foot double.
I missed the hole shot and fall back. This is an online multiplayer game so I can’t restart. If it were career mode, I would already be awaiting the flag to drop again. As expected an opponent kicks right into my rear tire, sending my digital rider awkwardly over the birm before recovering. Multiplayer games are just as competitive as street basketball. This race is already over. Can only hope for a better position next multiplayer game.
