Do I Really Need To Give Up My PS2 Games? |

I love technology. I think it is wonderful. However, when it comes to having to buy new video game consoles all the time, I have to draw the line. For example, I can not tell you how many PS2 games I have bought over the years. However, now I am told that the new Playstation console does not play the PS2 games. What do I do with all the old PS2 games?
My son is really pushing to get the newest PS3 video game. It doesn't help that my husband is also joining his team. With little subtle hints here and there I am often told on a daily basis how great the new Playstation game is. But, the fact still remains, what about the old PS2 games? I am sure that we can keep both consoles hooked up, but I am worried that the old PS2 games will just gather dust while the "boys" are playing with the new one.
I guess this wouldn't be such a hard decision, but I just bought some PS2 games from one of my favorite online shopping malls, Bolluck Mall. This website, which is located at www.bolluckmall.com/, has a lot of different kinds of PS2 games and other video gaming accessories. But, that is not all. There is a lot of different items there that I like to look through. But, the problem is that I just bought three new PS2 games two weeks ago!
I told my son, and my husband, that if the PS2 decides to finally give up its life then we will look into buying a new video game console. But, until then we have to play the PS2 games that we already have. While that didn't go over all that wonderful, they are still playing the PS2 games that we have. The only thing that I am hoping for right now is that they PS2 does not have some sort of freakish accident that will cause it to smash all over the driveway or land in the pool.
I don't think they will go to that extreme, probably just try and wear me down with their constant hints of how great the new console is. I am going to stay strong, though. I will not give in. There is just too many PS2 games laying around the living room to justify buying a brand new console that will not play them. Maybe I will just go back to Bolluck Mall and buy the PS3 in a few months as a surprise now that I know where to get it at a great price. |
