Multiplayer Game Helps Expose Big News |

Last night like most evenings after getting off work, I laid down on the bed and turned the video game console on. It’s not just about gaming for me. Talking with people out of state or friends in the area is just as big of a draw. Most people my age sign onto some social network to talk to people without talking to them. I use the video game console. At least this medium allows us to talk freely back and forth through our headsets.
A guy I grew up with was playing some game I didn’t have. Not being able to play multiplayer games with him, I sent a private chat message to see what was going on up north. A couple minutes later he joined and we each greeted each other with long overdue hellos. We went through the standard “how’s work” question and then I asked him how the ladies were. He responded with, “wouldn’t know.” Is there something you’ve been hiding Tom, I thought to myself. He returned with, “No man, it’s not what you’re thinking, I’m engaged.” This was a shocker. Apparently he popped the question to some girl he’s been with for 8 months. Looks like I’ll be seeing him in the flesh instead of over a multiplayer game soon. |
