video game console, multiplayer gameHand eye coordination is becoming more important as electronics and assorted careers pop up that call for the use of controllers and computers. A perfect example is the U.S. Army commercials everyone has seen on TV where they show a Predator drone flown by young soldiers in some room by way of computer controls. To me it looks like these drones are controlled in a similar fashion to what someone would expect on a flight multiplayer game. Play a FPS online and you will quickly find out the people who end at the top of the scoreboard have the quickest hand eye coordination. There isn’t one great FPS player out there who can’t move digital iron sights to a target almost as quickly as they spot them.

Our world is being fashioned around what has been taught by video game consoles. Like the keyboard is to the computer, Generation Y and younger understand video game console controllers so many new real world applications are looking to this for insight. The new market is motion control. We could be living in a Minority Report type world in the next few decades.
