When it comes to true video game console innovation, if you ask me, the award for stellar performance has to really be offered to the makers of the amazing Nintendo consoles that are currently on the market. The Nintendo consoles – both handheld and in-home – offer something unique for all gamers that they will not find on any other video game consoles. The DS Lite, for example (Nintendo’s portable console), offers a two-screen unit that is also a touch screen, has online capabilities and utilizes a revolutionary graphics engine that screams high quality. On the other side of the coin lays the Wii Nintendo consoles, which are one of the coolest things I have seen come from Nintendo since the advent of the Power Glove in the 80s. The Wii Nintendo consoles offer amazing and wireless, motion-sensing controllers that mimic onscreen actions based upon how you hold and move the controllers using your hands. Indeed, it’s no mystery to me how this company has been able to compete with giants like Sony and Microsoft year in and year out!
