Compromise Is Necessary With PS2 Games In Large Family |

There are eight people in my family. My wife and I were extremely blessed to have six children over the years and love them all dearly. Having this many kids means that there are sometimes when there are compromises that have to be made. This is clearly evident when it comes to PS2 games. We bought a Playstation 2 last year and, while it has brought a lot of enjoyment, it also leads to some arguments over games. My daughters love games that are gimmicky, have animated characters, and are relatively easy to play. My sons, on the other hand, love the superhero games, the action games, and those that are usually only one player.
Through the last couple of months we have all been able to compromise on the PS2 games that we play and the games that we buy. I found a website called Bolluck Mall online at www.bolluckmall.com that has a wide selection of PS2 games. Better yet, they have the games that all the kids like. I made a little deal with them. We would buy them new PS2 games each month if they would compromise and alternate who gets a game. They were alright with it and so far it has all worked out very good.
The first of the PS2 games we bought worked out for me too. We bought Activision Call of Duty: World at War Final Fronts. I love the Call of Duty games, but have not been able to play them as much as I have been busy and the kids are usually going back and forth on their games. So, when I saw that Bolluck Mall had a copy of the newest one, I decided it should be the boys that order first. (Yes, I know... it was a little selfish.) The game arrived three days later and all month all the kids played the new game. There were times when the girls wanted to play something else, and the boys let them, but for the most part it was all Call of Duty. When the next month came around, it was the girls time to choose which of the PS2 games they wanted. They chose their typical game (Hannah Montana) and had their chance to monopolize the PS2 games and play their new one. I would like to say that the boys waited their turn to play more Call of Duty, but they were playing the new game just as much as the girls! I might have to have a talk with them. |
