Activision Band Hero for PS3
Easily one of the best party games on any video game console has been one of the many Guitar Hero titles released over the past couple years. I have spent countless nights holding that plastic guitar strumming away with friends to classic jams. On those alcohol fueled digital jam sessions, the mic has even reached my hand. Deep down, I think we all want to rock no matter how scary it may be to perform for real or fake in front of people. These musical multiplayer games really helped me conquer my fear of karaoke. Now I could care less about belting out some off tune notes amongst friends. Amongst strangers is a bit different of a story but after the right amount of liquid encouragement it is not really an issue.
When I saw the trailer for Activision Band Hero seen below, I wanted to play. Come on, who doesn’t want to sing Domo Arigato, Mister Robotto? I find myself humming those lyrics randomly all the time. Until seeing the trailer above, I really didn’t hear much about this video game console release. From the trailer, it looks like the singing portion has taken more of a note from karaoke machines, there are of course new songs and I even heard you can play as Taylor Swift.
<--For All Major Video Game Consoles
Available for all of the major video game consoles, my buddy who owns a PS3 is putting this game on his holiday wish list. I told him to send an email link of it to his parents from a video game console retailer like Bolluck Mall at http://www.bolluckmall.com/, which I saw it selling at. Here is how they described Band Hero in the product description:
Band Hero on PlayStation 3 delivers an exciting music collection featuring top-40 hits designed to expand the appeal to a broad family audience who can play together on the guitar, drums, bass and microphone and experience a new genre of music. The game builds upon Guitar Hero's easy-to-play, difficult-to-master signature gameplay and allows novice players and expert fans to join together on their favorite songs. The whole family factor is really appealing to me because come the week surrounding Christmas, everyone in my family comes together, watches movies, catches up and many times my brother and I are on multiplayer games vying for the title of king at any of the many specific titles we love to compete at. With songs from all sorts of eras, I bet my mom and grandma could even find something to sing along with on Band Hero.
