Nintendo DS Lite for my Granddaughter |

I I have always utilized learning toys for my children and grandchildren. It has been refreshing to see learning toys become the tool of choice for many parents, and to see how advanced they are becoming. My granddaughter is a little slow in speaking. She is smart; but, she needed a Speech Therapist when she was younger. Now she is in the first grade, and she speaks much better. However, she remains in a special class, and both her Mother and I make sure she has plenty of learning toys to help enhance her ability to speak correctly.
I try and have multiplayer games for her in order that we both can play. One of the games I purchased was a Nintendo DS Lite called Electronic Arts Brain Quest for Grades 5 and 6. Although it is designed for older children, I felt she was quick enough to catch up, and I was hoping this would encourage her to move faster in her learning abilities.
I have kept her much of the Summer, and I have worked with her the entire time. Regardless of what we were doing, I spoke slowly, precisely, and made sure she understood every word I spoke. In the long run, we chatted as if she were a young lady, and she responded very well!
